Whether it's an endorsement deal with a national brand or an appearance at a local auto dealership or website monetization. An example of an innovative marketing deal was for the famed 2006 Indianapolis Brickyard race where John secured the first-ever NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race team sponsorship with an NFL player’s likeness on the car. The primary sponsorship was with NFL player Randy Moss, to showcase his juice company, IntaJuice.
Over the years, John has grown to be an expert in the field of sports social media. In 2009, Michael Vick's team turned to John to utilize social media to begin to rehabilitate his image. When professional athletes are having issues with social media many of them turn to John for innovative solutions to their problems.
John is the founder of Player Press, LLC., a sports media company, started with retired NFL players. PlayerPress.com is a next generation sports media network providing athletes a platform to distribute their message. John's team has built countless cutting-edge websites for professional athletes. John has been a pioneer in online athlete marketing where he has guided scores of athletes in the digital age.
John developed a new sports memorabilia concept named the Sports Flip Book. John secured the commercial license from NASCAR, and negotiated the terms for the, "NASCAR Flip Book," a product that he created. John successfully developed a wholesale distribution network by negotiating with various distributors and retailers.
John was featured in the "Dream Jobs in Sports" series in the Sept 7, 2009 issue of ESPN The Magazine and a video on espn.com. "Dream Jobs" focuses on young professionals with exciting jobs in sports and dedicated the feature to Hernandez that month.
John has built quite a following on social media where sports fans look to his insight into the sports business. Prior to sports, John had many years of experience in publishing and international business. John served as senior sales manager for TWP America, Inc., an Asian book manufacturer, with factories in Singapore is one of the largest book printers in the world. At TWP, John managed in excess of $5 million of annual business with prestigious publishers from the U.S., Canada, Mexico and South America.
John is a graduate of American University in Washington, D.C. where he has a BA in Justice and a Minor in Political Science. John was also a NCAA Division I wrestler. John attended Bergen Catholic High School in Oradell, NJ.
John interned at The White House, Office of Scheduling and Advance for the President. John served as a scheduling coordinator assistant working with advance teams in conjunction with The White House political office.
John is married with one daughter and currently resides in New York City.
