Agent Advisors are able to work remotely and independently while still maintaining their current job. Our flexible program allows participants to grow their sports business knowledge and experience on their own schedule.

Q – What are the requirements to be accepted into the program?
First you must submit an application. Upon approval the next step is to take our FREE online agent advisor course. The course provides a general overview of the sports agent business. It includes over 150 slides of information with a short test at the end. The test is not difficult but necessary to take in order to be part of the program.
The test is open-book with only 30 multiple-choice questions. Participants need a grade of 80% or better to successfully pass the course and you may take the test multiple times. On average the entire course can take 2-3 hours to complete. You will have 10 days to complete the online course on your schedule.
After successfully completing the course the next step is to pay the annual membership fee. The membership fee is for 12 months of the agent advisor program and covers the cost of numerous benefits. We provide two flexible payment options.
Q – Is a college degree required?
No college degree is required. You just need to be a smart, passionate, driven individual with business acumen. However, if you ever decide to become a certified sports agent, a minimum of a four year college degree is highly recommended, and required by some sports leagues. This program is perfect for those currently working on their college degree and will give them a step up on those waiting until they finish college.
Q - What if I only want to focus on Sports Marketing?
Sure, no problem. We have a wide range of sports marketing tasks available. Our Agent Advisors help us generate marketing opportunities for pro athletes, sports properties and sponsorship programs. Whether it’s developing a sports sponsorship program for an Action Sports Festival or generating appearance opportunities for a NFL Player – We have the work.

In order to perform marketing tasks you must have your Agency Athlete Sports Marketing Certification. This is a separate course you can take for free once you are certified as an Agent Advisor.

Q – What is the Agency Intranet access?
We provide access to the Agency Athlete corporate Intranet for task management and organization. Our Intranet also provides a community destination for Agent Advisors to interact with each other and review a wealth of information about the sports agent and marketing business.
Q – Do you perform a background check?
Yes, if you are accepted to the Agent Advisor program we do perform a background check.
Q – Do I have to sign an agreement?
Yes, as an Agent Advisor you will sign a standard non-exclusive independent contractor agreement.
Q – How do I become a registered agent?
The top professional sports leagues like NFL, NBA, MLB, and NHL have their own certification process for sports agents. You will learn the certification process of each league in our Agent Advisor Course and additional e-books, which will be at your disposal once you are accepted as an Agent Advisor. The experience as an Agent Advisor will also help build the necessary skill set needed for you to become a successful sports agent in the future. There are many leagues/sports, such as MMA, Tennis, MLS, and Extreme Sports, that do not require registration or certification. Therefore, if you represent an athlete in one of those sports/leagues, technically you will already be a sports agent.
Q – Do you accept people outside the U.S.A. as Agent Advisors?
Absolutely! We accept Agent Advisor candidates from around the world. We work in all international sports and markets. It’s important for us to have global exposure, so if you live outside the U.S.A. we would like to speak with you.

Congratulations on completing the Agent Advisor course and test. Next we will send you a welcome package with all the information needed to proceed. We will set up your own personal Agency Athlete web profile, email address, provide access to our Agency Intranet and print your business cards. Once that is complete you will be on the list for inbound athlete referral leads in your designated sport.
Q – What exactly will I be doing?
We will provide you with a wide range of sports business related tasks with the opportunity to learn the business, evaluate talent, co-manage athletes, pursue marketing opportunities and more.
Q – Will I be doing client relations work?
Yes, assisting in client relations will be one of the tasks that are part of the Agent Advisor program.

Q – Will I be doing sports marketing work?
In order to participate in sports marketing tasks, you must complete your Agency Athlete Sports Marketing Certification. You can pursue this additional certification once you are approved as an Agent Advisor. Once approved you will have the ability to participate in a wide range of sports marketing related tasks.
Q – Will I be an employee of Agency Athlete?
No, you will act as an independent contractor working under the umbrella of Agency Athlete.

No, you do not need any contacts with athletes, leagues or sports to be an Agent Advisor. We will provide you with the important contacts that you will need moving forward.
Q – Which sports should I focus on?
In regard to potential athlete recruitment, we suggest you focus on one sport for which you have passion and the resources to create opportunities. Though popular sports leagues like the NFL are quite attractive, it might make more sense to focus on smaller sports like MMA that have no certification process for prospective sports agents. Your agency task manager will assist in identifying what sports may be beneficial for you to grow as an agent.

Q – What type of support do you provide?
Each Agent Advisor will be assigned a team leader that will be their agency task manager. This person will guide you through the process and will serve as your main contact.
Q – Will you refer potential athlete clients to me?
Each Agent Advisor is part of the Athlete Referral Network . Our network attracts a large amount of inquiries from athletes in all sports on all levels that are looking for representation. We, in turn, refer these athlete leads to our participating agent advisor members. Our Agent Advisors will assist with the initial contact and quantify the lead for Agency Athlete. We then work together to evaluate the potential client, and if the athlete is signed, our agent advisors will assist in a wide range of tasks in the management and marketing of the client. It’s the ideal way to jump-start your career.
Q - I have an interested athlete client, now what?
We will ask you to submit an evaluation form on the athlete. We have developed a standard form for information that we would like you to get from the athlete. In addition, we ask that after your initial phone call and research, that you provide us with your personal assessment of the athlete. Once this is submitted, we will make a decision as to whether we would like to sign the athlete to Agency Athlete. If we decide to proceed, you will be involved in a wide range of tasks in the management of the client.
Q – We signed an athlete client, what’s next?
We will provide you with a range of supporting tasks in the management and development of the athlete client. It is up to you to have a proactive approach and execute the tasks for a successful outcome. This process will begin a journey that will prepare you for your future occupation as a sports agent.
Q – How much involvement will I have with the athlete?
You will be an integral part of the agency team with a range of supporting responsibilities in the management and development of the athlete client.
Q – How can I make money?
As an Agent Advisor you will be working to find business and marketing opportunities for our clients. When it is time to negotiate a contract or finalize a marketing deal, our staff of professionally trained agents step in to handle the transaction while the Agent Advisor shares in the credit. So yes, there is a chance to make money, but you should be thinking of this as more of an opportunity, as it is not about the money in the beginning but more about gaining all of the experience you will need to become a successful sports agent in the future.
Q – What does it take to be successful as an Agent Advisor?
It requires a passion for what you do, combined with a dedication to learn and grow. You should have a willingness to study all of the material and keep abreast of the latest sports and agent news. You should have a proactive attitude and a creative approach, and always seek to network for opportunities. It also requires the devotion of your time and the ability to work independently in order to be successful.
Q – Can I still have a full-time job and be successful part-time as an Agent Advisor?
Of course! Most of our Agent Advisors have full-time jobs in other occupations with other companies and still pursue their dream of being an agent in their spare time. The flexibility of our program allows you to grow and be successful as an Agent Advisor according to your own schedule.
Q - Let’s say I’m successful. Can I grow with Agency Athlete?
Absolutely! We have an extensive Agent Advisor program and our most promising candidates will rise to the top with future opportunities. In the future there could be openings for full employment and sponsorship for agent certification with major professional sports leagues, in addition to a wide range of opportunities in sports management, marketing, social media and public relations.
Q – Will Agency Athlete sponsor me for certification with the NFL, NBA, or MLB?
From time to time we may reward our top Agent Advisors with monetary sponsorship so they can pursue their agent certification with major professional sports leagues.
Q – Do you work with existing agents?
Yes we do. Agency Athlete serves as a marketing platform for existing agents and their clients.
Q – I’m an agent and I have my own clients. How can we work together?
We promote both your clients and agency in our system to establish business opportunities. On the flip side you can leverage our client base and wide-range of services to bolster your agency’s offerings. We work together in order to create opportunities and share in the credit and profits.
Q – Can you help us find marketing opportunities for my athlete clients?
Yes we can. When you sign with our network we can upload all ofyour clients to our athlete marketing site. Each client will have their own web-profile page, which we will use as a platform to seek out opportunities. Additionally, our national sales team will be proactively soliciting marketing opportunities for all athlete clients loaded into our database. So think of us as an independent sales force utilized to supplement your existing resources. By aligning with Agency Athlete you get to significantly increase your manpower in a cost effective manner with a measurable return on investment.
Q – Do you refer potential clients to me?
Definitely! When you sign with our network, the Agency Package includes athlete referral leads. Our network attracts a large amount of inquiries from athletes in all sports on all levels that are looking for representation. We work together to evaluate the potential client, and upon signing the client we work together to create opportunities while sharing in the credit and profits.
Q – I’m a registered Sports Agent and I want to join your network. Do I still have to take the Agent Advisor test?
If we can confirm that you are an agent with existing clients, then, in most cases, we are able to waive the requirement for taking the course and test. But current agents and agencies will still need to purchase our annual membership fee to participate in our network.
